Here is a Han period Chinese koro. Smashed with some missing pieces in the lid. It will be a challenging piece for a number of reasons. It is an earthenware lustre glaze which means it will be very easy to destroy the surface. Also, the missing piece will be a challenge.
Here is a very damaged porcelain figurine from the Edo period. I got it because the face is outstanding and I like pieces that have gone through a hard time. The piece has been dropped on its head and had it glued back on, the left hand has been lost, the right foot too. The sleeves of the kimono on both sides have been broken and partially repaired on one side. It will take a long time to get back together.
Here is a bowl I got recently. It is another piece from a collector who took very good care of the collection and most of the pieces repaired. This large bowl looks like it was dropped.
I got this recently in this condition. It is a 2 level ceramic container. The collector who had it had it repaired and then must have dropped it again.
