No audio. This video shows the traditional way to make yakiurushi.Yakiurushi is used for transferring designs on lacquer.
The tools I am using are antiques, the ladle is brass, the oil lamp is from a set from the Edo period filled with vegetable oil.

Here is a drying box, muro, made by a participant in the recent kintsugi workshop in San Francisco workshop. Very nice, he said it has a 28qt capacity.
Shattered ostrich egg repaired with kintsugi
This egg is being repaired using kintsugi by a woman in San Francisco and was started last year, about October, 2016. She has finished reassembling it and will now proceed to the middle and final work.
