This video shows the midde and last parts of step 5, polishing #4 gold with abura tonoko + ishiko + jozuri on a Karatsu tea bowl. Abura tonoko is made with tonoko mixed with oil, usually I use vegetable oil. Ishiko is a ground stone applied with oil, and a combination of 3 polishing compounds. This video shows the first part of step 5, polishing #4 gold on a Karatsu tea bowl.. I applied the first hardening lacquer on Oct. 2, the second on Oct. 3, and the last on Oct. 6th. I waited longer than usual to do this step, usually it can be done a couple of days after the last hardening. In the video I start with a #3000 stone and then drop back to a #2000. It is backward but I wanted to make sure the 3000 stone wouldn’t rip the gold out. To see step 5 see https://zac.wnz.mybluehost.me/website_a640e8d6/?page_id=225
