Here is a video I did on Google +. It shows application of e-urushi which is a high quality red and the application of #5 silver. Don’t use neri bengara urushi, a cheaper type that won’t give you good results.

Kintsugi workshop, second week of 10 day workshop
Here we are in the first day of the second week of the 10 day workshop. We have worked with lacquer, flour, and sabi which is jinoko and lacquer to get to this stage. The green pieces look very nice.

The first week of the 2 week kintsugi workshop is finished. We will go to Shigaraki tomorrow and let everything dry Saturday and Sunday. There are 2 pieces we are focusing on out of a number in the muro.
The advanced metal work part has been finished but from now on we will do ‘live’ practice.
